Hi. I am a thirtysometing makeup addict.
I started hoarding makeup 3 years ago, in my early 30s. I only started to actually wear the makeup I bought 2 years ago. My 'collection' is 70% MAC, and out of that 70%, another 70% is Limited Edition stuff. Yes, I got caught in the beginner's frenzy of greedily grabbing my hands on the limited edition MAC collections...
Now that I've recovered my senses (I think), and realized how much money I spend without thinking (I am -cough - used to be - a makeup marketer's dream), I am trying to concentrate on USING THE STUFF I GOT. The products I have now will last me a lifetime (or two). This blog is an effort to do that, stop buying new stuff and play with the ones I already have. Of course, now that I am becoming a seasoned amateur, there is this whole new world of PERMANENT PRODUCTS (gems, they are !!!) to discover. But as I said, I will try, no?
I did today's look with MAC's Wondergrass small eyeshadow (Frost) as the main color. I usuallly pick one color on a whim in the evening, coordinate other colors that will go with it, pack it in my makeup bag and actually do my makeup at work (I have a private office with lots of sunlight). Wondergrass is from MAC's C-Shock collection (from I don't know when -- this was before I got into makeup), and is, again, LE. I bought mine last week from Strawberrynet.com, because their MAC eyeshadow's are slightly cheaper than Seoul (where I currently reside) and they have odd stock from past collections that are limited edition. I check regularly for changing stock, and got all of my MATTE*2 formulas that way.

I do not have a 'crease', or eyefold, like some Asians. Also, my eyes are protruding due to many years of wearing glasses and being myopic (which has been since cured thanks to LASIK eye surgery 10 years ago). The LASIK surgery could not cure me of my protruding eyes, sadly. That is why unless I use a dark color (eyeliner and dark shadows in the crease area, mascara) that has an 'anchoring' effect, my eyes tend to look more bulgy.
As a result, I did not do Wondergrass justice :(
It is more of a bright grass green (hence the name), and you can find lots of nice swatches on the web. I cannot belief how much the camera washes out the color.
